Collaborations

The DEAL Research Group has initiated a collaboration with the ‘Centro Studi Erickson’ for the creation of an editorial series, scheduled for 2016, which will gather methodological tools and operational materials for the teaching of language to pupils with Specific Language Needs.

Since 2013 DEAL has been involved in the LIBES project with ‘Loescher Editore’, which aims to create support materials for foreign language learning (French, Spanish, German) by students with special needs. The designed materials are the ‘Quaderni di Supporto’ – Support notebooks to accompany some language texts for lower and higher Secondary School.

One of the prominent research areas of DEAL Group is the teaching of English to students with special needs. Since 2011 DEAL has been collaborating with Oxford University Press, providing scientific and authorial advice for the creation of accessible teaching materials for English (achievement tests, supplementary notebooks, adapted activities).

The Research Group DEAL actively collaborates with the Italian Dyslexia Association, which has supported the group since its foundation, providing sponsorship to Masterclass DEAL, and drawing on the expertise of the group members for the training of language teachers.

The DEAL Research Group has proposed and participated in conferences and training events organized by ‘ANILS’, which has sponsored the Masterclass DEAL since 2014. Many members of the group are also authors for “Scuola e Lingue Moderne”, the association’s official journal.
